Say hello to Sarah, our new Commercial TBDM

It’s always an exciting time when we’re able to add new talent to the business team here at Digital Mortgages, but it’s a real treat when we can welcome someone who has already been working within the business for a while.

Sarah Fossey has moved across from mortgage admin to join us as a Commercial Telephone Business Development Manager. She’s been in the job for a few months, but here she tells us a bit more about her journey to becoming a TBDM.

I began my Atom journey in December 2019. I had taken a year out from a long history of banking and finance and quickly realised it was where I did actually belong!

I got the job as Intermediary Administrator and was made to feel part of the team from the get go. My team is really supportive and they support you to progress in any way that suits you, whether that be progression within the team, across other departments or if you wish to progress outside of Atom bank.

From February 2021, I began my own self-development within the team to progress into a Telephone Business Development Manager role. As I worked alongside the Business Banking team during the CBILS and RLS schemes, and as I attended the triage sessions to take notes, I knew that business banking was the way I wanted to go. Each case was different, there were lots of challenges and a lot of confusion! Perfect for me! I trained with TBDMs and RBDMs who were all very open to helping me on my journey.

In November I was offered the role as TBDM Business and in December I switched to a dual role to assist with holidays within the admin team and spent time training for my new role. I can't wait to get fully into the role and see what the future brings!
